Indianapolis Colts – Washington Commanders opens the series at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It is a balanced choice if you want the first NFL weekend of the autumn and a two- or three-night city break where the game is the centrepiece without taking over the entire trip.
Tottenham is in North London, so the journey to the stadium should be factored into your hotel choice and your Sunday schedule from the outset.
Eagles – Jaguars | 11 October: the game we would put first on our list
If the matchup is your main criterion, Philadelphia Eagles – Jacksonville Jaguars would be our first choice.
The Jaguars have built a distinctive relationship with NFL London and will play on two consecutive weekends in the British capital in 2026. The presence of the Eagles raises the profile of the matchup, while Tottenham Hotspur Stadium adds a venue designed to accommodate American football as well.
Of the three options, 11 October offers, in our view, the strongest combination of matchup appeal, NFL London context and stadium.
Texans – Jaguars | 18 October: Wembley and an AFC South matchup
Houston Texans – Jacksonville Jaguars takes place at Wembley Stadium, with the two teams competing in the AFC South.
For the Jaguars, it is their second consecutive weekend in London. For spectators, the distinctive factor is Wembley: if the stadium itself is part of your reason for travelling, this is the only one of the three games that offers that experience.
The logistics are different too, with Wembley located in North-West London.
Tottenham or Wembley: where would you rather watch the NFL in London?
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts the first two games and has a direct relationship with the NFL. The venue was designed to accommodate both football and American football, with dedicated infrastructure for the latter.
Wembley Stadium offers a different argument: it is one of London’s major sporting landmarks and the only venue on the 2026 NFL London schedule hosting Texans – Jaguars.
There is no universal winner. Tottenham is closer to a purpose-built NFL experience; Wembley may matter more if the stadium itself is one of the reasons for your trip.

How do you plan an NFL weekend in London?
A 14:30 kick-off makes a well-organised weekend possible, provided you do not compress the trip unnecessarily.
In general, two or three nights offer a good balance between the game and time in London. Arriving on Saturday and leaving immediately after the game gives you far less room for delays or changes to your plans.
